Bidding has already begun for the first production 2017 Honda Civic Type R made for the U.S.

The Japanese automaker has donated the Type R to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation for auction and the vehicle will be shipped for pickup at a participating U.S. Honda dealer. Sporting VIN #01, the Civic Type R features an Aegean Blue Metallic exterior while a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 306 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque resides under the hood. Although Honda hasn’t made an official announcement on pricing for the new Civic Type R, an earlier leak shows it will start from $34,775 including destination.
