The latest rumors in the mid-engine rumor mill is that the Chevrolet Corvette C8 will start production in September 2019.

The report comes from the analysts over at Auto Forecast Solutions, who also predict that production of the C7 will end in August 2019.

That latter prediction goes against previous suspicions that the two generations would be produced side-by-side. Those rumors were borne of modifications made to Chevy’s Bowling Green plant, which can now produce multiple vehicles on the same line.

It still seems likely that Chevrolet will sell both generations simultaneously, though it hasn’t confirmed its plans.
