Toyota is expanding its Takata airbag recall once again to 2.9 million more vehicles in Japan, China, Australia, and more.

Beleaguered airbag maker Takata Corp. is facing fresh claims of collusion in its cover-up scandal, with lawyers alleging certain automakers knew the parts were dangerous but continued to use them.

Porsche is conducting what it calls a “purely precautionary measure” by recalling 16,429 vehicles. 

This week, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) rejected a petition demanding a recall for 2005-2010 Nissan Pathfinder, Xterra and Frontier vehicles.
