Maserati Quattroporte Patent Drawings Revealed

The next generation Maserati Quattroporte has been spied testing around Europe on various occasions, and now a new set of patent drawings might have unveiled the car in its final form.

The sketches show that the car will have sharper lines, as well as a front end that looks very much like it is based on the Kubang concept. Proportionally, the car will grow in size to make room for the smaller Maserati Levante.

When comparing the sketches with the spy photos, the sketches appear to be the real deal. The low front end grille match up, as do the two front air intakes. Brake light styling appears to be a little different from the sketches to the prototype, but the lights are still somewhat covered in the spy photos, making it hard to discern anything for sure.

For power, the car will sport a turbo V8 that makes 520 hp under the hood initially, followed by a supercharged V6 engine making 420 hp later on in the year.

The next generation Quattroporte could bow at the 2012 Paris Auto Show in September, or possibly the Detroit show in January.
