The newest version of the Porsche 911, the 991, has yet to make it to the professional racing circuit, but a teaser video released by Porsche suggests that we don’t have long to wait.

The car in the video is the 991-based 911 GT3 Cup Car, and we get to see the stripped out interior, the massive rear wing and the car running some laps. Details concerning the car are not public yet, but the previous generation Porsche racer had a 3.8-liter flat six, rated at around 450 hp, which will likely carry over to this model.

The road-going variant of the new 911 GT3 will likely follow in line with the GT3 race car seen in the video, copying that big rear-wing, low front-end fenders, and overal aesthetic.
