It was mostly American cars that made up the most researched in AutoGuide.com’s new cars section this week.

But the most popularly searched by readers was actually the 2014 Honda CR-V. It costs less than the Toyota RAV4, but is still more expensive than the Mazda CX-5 and Ford Escape which – incidentally – is also on this week’s list.

With an eight-speed transmission and a V6 diesel on the way, the 2014 Ram 1500 was also popularly queried this week. Just behind it was another Chrysler product with an automatic transmission boasting many gears; nine, in fact. Issues with that transmission wound up causing delayed delivery to dealers, but the Cherokee is finally available.

Finally, the Ford Mustang remained a popularly searched vehicle as well. Very soon, Ford will unveil its next generation Mustang with an optional turbocharged four-cylinder engine and independent rear suspension among the changes.
