Jaguar Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) is taking on the XE sedan next.

It’s called the Jaguar XE SV Project 8 and the British automaker says it’s the most extreme Jaguar ever. A prototype version recently took on the Nurburgring, sporting close to 600 horsepower from a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine. Jaguar claims the Project 8 will offer supercar performance and dynamics in a sedan, and production will be limited to just 300 units worldwide when it goes on sale next year. When it hits the market, it promises to be the most powerful road legal Jaguar in history.

Full specifications on the Jaguar XE SV Project 8 will be revealed on June 28, 2017, ahead of its debut at the 2017 Goodwood Festival of Speed in the U.K. on June 30. Check back then for full details, but for now, you can watch a video released by Jaguar showcasing the prototype at the Nurburgring.

The time is right for SVO to produce the most extreme performance road car in the history of Jaguar,” said John Edwards, managing director of Jaguar Land Rover Special Operations. “The SVO team is possessed by the spirit of performance and committed to creating the most thrilling driving experience imaginable. Our clients worldwide were thrilled by the F-TYPE Project 7. The new XE SV Project 8 takes aerodynamics and performance engineering to another level – it is conceived for enthusiasts and the most discerning collectors. The price for such an extreme performance sports car available in strictly limited numbers will reflect that.
